LOCAL youth fared well with their entries at the Matagorda County Livestock Show. Branson Hebel of Palacios FFA had the Grand Champion Steer. It brought $9,000 during Saturday’s auction. Sarah Hebel of Palacios 4-H had the Grand Champion Pullet in the Poultry Division that was auctioned for $1,400. Matthew Dunn of Palacios FFA had the Grand Champion Cockerel that sold for $5,000. PAHA SOUP & SALAD SUPPER ON TUESDAYThe Palacios Area Historical Association (PAHA) annual meeting and Soup & Salad Supper will be Tuesday (March 9) at the City by the Sea Museum (401 Commerce). Homemade soup, salad and desserts will be served from 5-7 p.m. A $7 donation is requested.
