Ready to put the pedal to the metal in the Tricycle Races are pedal-pushing-playmates Roberta Ripke and Mayor Joe Morton, both members of the Palacios Centennial Committee. The Tricycle Races, sponsored by KJZT-CFFT, will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The event is just one of many activities that will take place this Friday and Saturday as Palacios celebrates not only the Fourth of July, but also the City by the Sea’s own 100th anniversary. Among the events on tap along East Bay Park will be a ‘street dance’ and fireworks display both Friday and Saturday nights. For more in the Centennial events and schedule, click HERE.
