Hurricane Claudette
July 15, 2003
AN angel monument at Palacios Cemetery stands serenely in front of a shattered tree that was spilt open by the winds of Hurricane Claudette. Although Palacios was hit hard by the storm, the City by the Sea was fortunate that the impact was not worse and that no serious injuries occurred. Perhaps Palacios had a Guardian Angel looking over them. (Beacon Photo by Nick West)
